I have a Lutron Radio RA system with a Chronos and I'm using a T-4 with XP8. I have the lighting set up and working however I want to dim the various lights.
I think the code for raising and lowering is:
Raise,1\r and lowering is lower,1\r however how do I add in the second string of Stoprl\r?
Hopefully, my question makes sense.
Thanks Steve

I'm not sure Lutron has a stop command available for RTI. Stop usually happens when you release raise or lower on a Lutron keypad. I dont think its possible to do with a touchscreen button on a T4.
Wait and see if someone else knows how to do what your asking.
While you wait.. have you thought about adding percentage presets (set dimmer) like High (100%)/ Medium(66%)/ Low(33%) ? This would allow you to stop at points between On (100%) and 0% (Off).
You could also create scene macros to set all of the lights @ specific levels for things like Home, Away, Bed Time, Party, Movie Time etc.

I used a button pause like this.
Serial Port [CM-232] 5 (9600 8N1): LOWER,3\r Pause until button is released Serial Port [CM-232] 5 (9600 8N1): STOPRL\r

to my knowledge Stamp is correct .... no stop command
do a button pause macro if you want .... raise command will be sent until you release the button.
if you use different equipment, that needed a stop, you could put the stop after the button pause.
I prefer using scenes and preset amounts for most clients though.

Yeah there is definitely a STOPRL (STOP Raise Lower). Raise or Lower commands fade to full on or full off, respectively. STOPRL stops it. Galileo is dead on with his example

Guys,
Thanks for all of your replies. So If I understand you correctly. Use a Macro on each button with a pause code built into it. Something like this?
Under Macro Editor: Use the command type Pause until button is released, than use a RS232 command with the string of stoprl/r?
Sound correct
Thanks

This is great info. Actually gave up on adding a Raise/ Lower to clients Chronos RA system. I was told you could only do it with Phantom Buttons, but if you're doing by individual dimmer, this is great. I will try on my project this week too.

This is another example of why this message board is an incredible resource. Everyone in this thread is installing the same products and using the same software. We all have the apability to offer the same features but sometimes we get stuck in our little mental box and cant think outside of it to save our lives.
Half of us knew about it on May 16th, the other half didnt and now, 1 day later, we all know about the stop command and what we can do with it :).
Thanks fellas.
